Moths hatching from their eggs

9th August:

I found something interesting happening on a wall in our home. A Moth was delivering eggs! I captured those wonderful moments:

The Moth was tilting its body like a spindle to lay the eggs. It was wonderful. The pattern it followed to lay the eggs was worth a watch. It starts from one end and searches for a vacant spot beside an already-laid egg, and sticks the new egg there!

After an hour passed, the mother Moth flew away:

August 11th:

The yellowish eggs turned into a dark shade and guess what, two of them were hatching!

Take a closer look at the above images and you will see two eggs hatching a the top. Actually, those were the last eggs their mother laid.

After an hour or so, I was surprised to see all the eggs turned into small, tiny caterpillars:

August 12th:

I am sad. Why? The mother Moth is no more. I found it's dead body on the ground.

August 13th:

Each of the kids (the caterpillars) started disappearing. They might have flown away by wind. I could not spot them anywhere.
